“Realizing the royal pendant had been stolen, the guards ran down the hall after the culprit. As the first guard turned the corner, he ran right into one of the chamber maids. Pointing down the hall, she stepped aside as they continued to run past her. Once she was outside, she removed her hat. Her armor and weapons magically reappeared, along with the pendant.”
This cap has 4 charges, and it regains 1d4 charges daily at dawn. While wearing this cap, you can use an action to activate its magical effect.
Once activated, all your equipment, including clothing, armor, weapons, and other belongings, vanish into the hat and are replaced with common clothing and items from one of the Commoner Options in the item's file linked below. These items are not magical. You will not be able to use or benefit from any of your previous equipment while they are stored in the hat. The hat stays on your head, but takes on a new appearance, matching the chosen option.
As long as this effect is active, you have advantage on all Charisma (Deception) checks to convince a creature you are a commoner, as well as all Dexterity (Stealth) checks to blend into a crowd. This magical effect lasts for 1 hour. You can use an additional charge to renew the effect’s duration. Additionally, you can choose to change your appearance to another Commoner Option when doing so.
The effect ends if the hat is removed or falls off.
See file for commoner options.
