Billy's Bascinet

Wonderous Item, Rare (requires attunement)

“Buck and Ewelle had followed the treasure map to the pasture just behind Ol’ Wether’s ranch. They dug through the night while the livestock looked on. Just before the sun began to creep over the fields, their shovels struck something hard. It was a chest, and inside, wrapped in burlap, they found an odd, horned helm. As Buck donned the helm, he heard a raspy, almost squelching voice say, “Hey, not too baaaad.” He looked up at Ewelle, “What?” “I didn’t say anything,” she responded. He looked to his left and saw one of Ol’ Whether’s billygoats staring back at him.”

While wearing this helm, you can make a headbutt, melee weapon attack as a bonus action. This attack does 1d6 bludgeoning damage + your Strength modifier. If you move at least 10 ft. before making this attack on the same turn, the target takes an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage, and if the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

In addition, while attuned to this helmet, you gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.

When you first attune to this helmet, and for each dawn while you are attuned to it, you gain one additional benefit from the table below. You must roll a d4 to determine which additional ‘benefit’ you receive.
